Welcome!
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog!
I think it would be great to start off with 10 facts about me. I did a post like this on my instagram a few months back and while I don’t think I’ve changed much in those few months, its always fun to discuss fun facts!
- I think the biggest fact about me that I don’t discuss often on any of my pages is how much of a Game of Thrones fan I am. I re-watch the entire series at least once a year, and I always find something new that surprises me or that I didn’t pick up on. This time around I spotted a link between Jon Snow and Ghost and I was shocked that I didn’t spot it before! I’ll definitely cover some aspects of the show in the future during my next re-watch because I love it, and want to be able to discuss it with fellow GOT fans.
- As a side to point 1, I also love listening to scores from my favourite TV shows or movies. There is nothing better than reading an action scene in a book while having a score playing in the background to match! Some of my favourites right now are all by Ramin Djawadi are “The Winds of Winter”, “Mhysa”, “The Last War”, “Battle for the Skies”, “The Night King” and “The North Remembers”.
- My favourite drink is coffee. I would drink multiple cups of coffee every day if I wouldn’t be shaking after having 3 cups or having an anxiety spike.
- I love listening to audiobooks and knitting. Have I finished many products though…I guess we’ll never know.
- I can, unfortunately, no longer play sports just from how injury prone I am. I’ve had 2 concussions, stitches, broken fingers and torn quads to name a few.
- My favourite ways to exercise are to go hiking or biking. I live in an area with a lot of mountains and I never get tired of seeing them, or hiking up them.
- I am in the group of readers that started reading heavily with The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. I also have my love of dragons because of this series and I am always chasing that next book with dragons present.
- Which brings me to my next fact, which is my favourite character. It has evolved from Eragon (The Inheritance Cycle) to Hiccup (How to Train Your Dragon) to Daenerys Targaryen (Game of Thrones) and it goes to show that growing up reading about character who were dragon riders means that all my next favourites have to also be dragon riders.
- A book trope that is guaranteed to make me sob, is groups being split up, whether for a specific purpose or a sequence that separates them. It hurts so much, and I hate not knowing if they will be reunited by the end of the book, TV or movie. A perfect example, is season 1 episode 2 of Game of Thrones (*sobbing*).
- I have always wanted to create a blog but something was always holding me back from taking the plunge so I’m really excited to see how this blog will grow.
I’m really excited to post more on this blog and I hope you’ll stay tuned for more! My posting schedule will be every Saturday and I recommend following me on my instagram! I will be posting links to my pages when I post and if there are schedule changes, information can be found there.
In the comments below, let me know if you can relate to the facts listed and include a fact about yourself!
