Hello Everyone, Happy Saturday!

I posted my top 10 books to read on my instagram recently and I thought that I would give more details on the books I choose. I only realized afterwards that I picked books by the same authors, but hopefully that means I will read them all!

1) A Court of Silver Flame by Sarah J. Maas

I read the first 3 of this series, A Court of Thrones and Roses, A Court of Mist and Fury and A Court of Wings and Ruin, back in 2020 and I loved them! This was the first series I read by Sarah J. Maas and I was introduced to how addictive her writing can be. I’m nervous to read this because it follows Nesta’s perspective but I hope that I will finally get to it this year!

2) Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

I have been reading the Throne of Glass series for the last 2 years and I just need to finish this series. I don’t know what it is about this series but I have such trouble picking up the books even though I only have 3 left. I always fly through her books so I just need to read the last 3 and have this on my completed series list!

3) House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas

Since the second book is coming out in February, I feel more comfortable starting this series soon knowing that the last book should come out within the next 3 years depending on her continuation of the ACOTAR series. I’ve heard this is her best work thus far!

4) Caliban’s War by James S.A. Corey

I read the first book, Leviathan Wakes, last year and really enjoyed it! It was super fast paced and I read it while I was reading a lot of Science Fiction, and I want to continue the series before I forget to much! I would like to get farther through this series this year, and I’m excited.

5) The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie

I have been wanting to read a book by Joe Abercrombie for a while so I’m hoping that this will be my year. While I want to start here, I’ve heard that Half a King, is good as well!

6) The Shadow Rising by Robert Jordan

I am excited to continue my read of the Wheel of Time! I am hoping to make my way through a majority of this series this year. I have been obsessed with this series since I read The Great Hunt and The Dragon Reborn back to back last year and I am ready to see where the cast of characters are going!

7) Jade City by Fonda Lee

I have been wanting to start this series for ages! I’ve heard so many great things about it and my copy of Jade Legacy is coming in soon so I’m hopefully going to start this series sooner rather then later!

8) The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson

I have already started reading this and I am already enjoying it so much! I am in such a Brandon Sanderson mood, and I started this book without knowing much about it but wow, I am impressed by his writing and this story in general!

9) The Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson

I need to continue with Mistborn Era 2 and with the last book of the series coming out later this year, I am really excited to start this year and wrap up era 2!

10) Traitor’s Blade by Sebastien De Castell

I picked up this book last year in my local used bookstore and I want to get to it so bad! It sounds so intriguing and I’m excited to read it!

I am hopeful that because this list is shorter then I usually have it, I will be able to get to them all!
